Xinjiang Huadian Hami 2×1 million kilowatt coal power project is located in the Gobi shoal area at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang. Our company has built two intercooling towers, 1# and 2#. The project is a super-large hyperbolic steel intercooling tower, which is the first application in millions of thermal power units and is currently the world's largest and highest hyperbolic steel intercooling tower. Compared with the concrete tower, the weight of the cold tower between steel structures can be reduced by about 90%, the construction period is shortened by about 6 months, and the steel structure is 100% recyclable. The main structure of the cooling tower adopts the bidirectional oblique space lattice shell structure, and the nodes are welded balls and intersecting nodes. The total height of the structure is 210 meters, the thickness of the tower is 3 meters, and the diameter of the center line of the outer support is 147 meters. The tower is divided into 21 floors from bottom to top, the third floor is provided with a broadening platform, and the sixth, ninth, 12th, 15th, 18th and 21st floors are provided with 6 reinforcing rings. With 32 triangular truss units on each floor and a total weight of 8,500 tons of single pylons and purlins, the two towers were simultaneously crowned on September 6, 2024.

In the Gobi beach area at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang, the gale weather of six or above reaches more than 200 days every year.
